RevBuddy ("we", "our", "us") is a hotel revenue analytics platform. We take your privacy seriously and handle your data with full transparency. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: Your email address and an encrypted password when you register.
Booking data: Any Excel or CSV files you upload are processed entirely within your browser. We never store, transmit, or keep copies of your booking files on our servers.
Project notes: Text notes and screenshots you choose to save are stored securely in our database, linked to your account.
AI-powered analysis: When you request AI insights, only aggregated, non-identifiable summaries are sent to our AI provider. No raw guest names, personal details, or individual booking records leave your browser.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. Security & Data Protection
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Row-level security ensures access is limited to your own data
- Authentication is required for every protected feature
- API endpoints verify user identity via secure JWT tokens
5. Data Retention
Your project notes and screenshots remain available until you delete them or close your account. Booking files are never stored on our end - they exist only in your browser session and are automatically discarded when you close or refresh the page.
6. Your Rights
Access: View all your stored data within the app at any time
Deletion: Delete individual notes or your entire account along with all associated data
Portability: Your booking data stays in your original files - we never lock you in
Correction: Edit your notes whenever you need to
7. Third-Party Services
AI analysis: Aggregated data summaries are processed through our AI provider to generate strategic insights. No personally identifiable information is ever transmitted.
Flight data: Country-level statistics (not guest data) may be shared with flight search APIs when using the international arrivals feature.
8. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (notes, screenshots) at any time through the sidebar menu. This action cannot be undone.
9. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
